Genre spanning multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and producer asked me to write a bio for his social media platforms.

Tape saturation, broken machines, pocket symphonies. Hours unnatural.
Formative steps off the beaten path. Grey skies. The river, greyer still. An impossible puzzle solves itself.
Hazy melodic twists, analog synthesis, arpeggio strings. A glitch in the willow timbre.
Flocks of birds sweep the sky, a coda to the interlude of daylight. Below, a perfect sheet of frost, broken by a roughly trodden heart shape.
Dream Pop, Electro, Shoegaze, Future Retro. Never a tourist but never home.
Winding alleys beneath sunbaked rooftops. Brilliant white against deep blue. Urgent steps to a destination unknown.
Grafitti on a crumbling Roman statue. Beauty and chaos in perpetual rhythm.
An artist struggles to explain his work; a distant voice sings a lullaby. They work together in perfect disharmony.
With an eclectic style, the brief was to be vague yet evocative, and without adhering to genre stereotypes. I know that UNSEENMACHINE’s work is frequently inspired by the seasons, and by geographical and environmental influences. Therefore I used some lyrical vignettes, drawn from my own memories and experiences. I interspersed these with technical musical terms, in order to lend a verse / chorus musical quality. I included some subtle references to the artist’s work and lyrics.
